Why ILUMA has no blade to clean
Older IQOS devices heated tobacco with a blade inside the holder, and tobacco residue built up on it. ILUMA heats a metal element inside the Terea stick by induction, so nothing pushes into the tobacco and there is no blade to scrape or brush.
What you should clean
- USB port: blow gently to remove dust or sand.
- Contacts: on two-piece sets, wipe the metal contacts on the holder and Pocket Charger with a soft, dry cloth.
- Outside: wipe the body with a dry or slightly damp cloth (device off), then dry it.
- Holder opening: if a stick ever breaks, remove loose tobacco carefully by tipping the device, not with sharp tools.
What not to do
- Do not put the device in water or use alcohol or cleaning sprays inside it.
- Do not push metal objects or cleaning sticks into the holder.
- Do not use HEETS cleaning tools from older devices.
