Short answer: HEETS and Terea are two different IQOS stick formats. HEETS are for older blade-heated IQOS devices (such as IQOS 3 DUO and IQOS ORIGINALS). Terea is for IQOS ILUMA, which heats a metal element inside the stick by induction. They are not interchangeable in either direction.

Why you cannot swap them
A HEETS stick has no internal heating element, so an ILUMA device has nothing to heat — the manufacturer states ILUMA will not start with non-TEREA sticks. A Terea stick contains a metal element and is not designed to be pushed onto a heating blade, which is why IQOS warns against using Terea in older devices.
Moving from HEETS to Terea
- Get an ILUMA device. Your old IQOS will not work with Terea. We stock IQOS ILUMA i — i ONE, i STANDARD and i PRIME.
- Find your flavor. Many Terea names follow the same style families as HEETS: Amber, Bronze, Silver, Turquoise, Yellow and Sienna. Start with the name you know and adjust lighter or stronger.
- Start with one or two cartons. The heating method is different, so the same flavor name may feel slightly different.

Which one should you buy?
