Short answer: keep Terea cartons and your IQOS ILUMA device somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sun. Never leave them in a parked car during the UAE summer, keep packs closed, and charge the device at room temperature.
The UAE’s summer heat and humidity are tough on both tobacco and lithium batteries. For the original ILUMA the manufacturer gives an operating range of about 0–50°C (0–40°C for ILUMA ONE); check the leaflet in your box for your exact model. A parked car in summer can go well beyond that, so the practical rules below matter.
Storing Terea sticks
- Cool and dry: a cupboard or drawer indoors, away from windows, ovens and AC outdoor units.
- Keep packs closed: an open pack exposed to humid air can make sticks feel damp.
- Not in the car: a parked car in summer gets very hot inside. Carry the pack you need for the day and leave cartons at home.
- Not in the fridge: moving a cold pack into warm, humid air can cause condensation.
- Pearl and menthol flavors: heat can affect capsules and menthol freshness, so they deserve the same care.
- Damaged or wet sticks: do not use a stick that is bent, torn or wet.
Looking after your ILUMA device
- No hot cars, no direct sun: lithium batteries do not like high heat.
- Charge at room temperature with the supplied cable and adapter.
- Keep it dry: do not use it with wet hands or leave it in a humid bathroom.
- Carry it in a pocket or bag, not on a car dashboard or beach towel in the sun.
